Chief Executive Officer and President
Tammy Hinze has 33+ years of healthcare management experience in the private sector. She began her career in the Baylor College of Medicine system and advanced to the level of Director of Physician Practice. Tammy then became the Director of Business Operations for a Texas based Management Services Organization (MSO) which, due in part to her leadership and expertise, grew from a local physician business organization to a national billing, human resources, and accounting services corporation operating in 6 states. She had direct oversight and operational responsibility for 250+ physicians
and a billing support staff of over 80 employees.
In 2008, Tammy jointly created Apex Practice Solutions, Inc., a Texas based MSO where she holds the position of President/CEO. In conjunction with all operational activities for Apex, Tammy also performs consultative services to clients, including physician groups and hospital systems employing providers. She has extensive experience working with Texas 501a not-for profit medical organizations as well as a strong background and knowledge regarding multiple PM/EMR systems. She excels in organizational leadership, physician practice management, and physician office RCM services. Tammy has delivered Practice Management and System Implementation Services to physician groups for a variety of specialties in multiple states, providing insight and direction for enhanced patient experience, improved process flow, and maximized reimbursement.
Tammy and her husband Ronnie have been married 41 years and have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. When not working or playing with grandbabies, Tammy enjoys decorating and refinishing furniture, and appreciating the beauty of the Texas coast where she lives.

Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations
Michelle Service has 19+ years of healthcare management experience in the private sector. She began her career working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield entering and processing hospital and provider claims then moved to a leadership role in the customer service call department processing and adjudicating claims. Michelle was then recruited to work as a billing supervisor for a Texas based Management Services Organization (MSO) with oversight and operational responsibility for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial claims for 100+ physicians and a billing support staff of 20 employees.
In 2008, Michelle jointly created a new MSO named Apex Practice Solutions, Inc., where she serves as Vice President of Operations/COO. Michelle oversees all Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) as well as provides consultative services to clients including physician groups and hospital systems employing providers. She has extensive experience in the management of physician office billing/RCM along with broad knowledge of billing rules and policies in multiple states. Additionally, Michelle is well versed in a number of PM/EMR systems and has provided training and support to front office staff as well as billing/RCM personnel. She has delivered insight and direction to clinic practices, and medical facilities throughout multiple states while insuring a high level of compliance and integrity in the billing process.

Pam Clay has 17 years of experience in the medical field and over 20 years working in the financial/banking industry. She started her medical career handling the collection activities and supervising the billing and front office staff for a Family Practice residency program. In 2003, Pam accepted a position as the Business Office Manager for the central billing office of a Management Services Organization. She had the responsibility of overseeing all facets of daily operations and maintaining acceptable AR results for multiple providers with multiple specialties located in both Texas and Arkansas.
Pam joined Apex Practice Solutions, Inc. in 2010 as Accounts Receivable Manager, where she oversees Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) for a number of large Apex clients with multi-specialty providers. She has many years of experience in a management capacity providing leadership, guidance, and support to physicians and their office staff. Pam strives to facilitate teamwork relationships with Apex staff and clients to maintain integrity in the billing process, provide education on billing rules and policies, and maximize third party reimbursement.

John’s years in medical coding have exposed him to a variety of specialties. He has recently moved into the consulting field preparing and presenting webinars and providing education to physician groups in Evaluation and Management. Along with his work in medical records auditing, coding and compliance regulations, John continues to keep his coding skills sharp by coding op-reports and clinical documentation across all the specialties found within the Apex client base.
Certified Professional Coder
Regina Tinney has been in the medical field for 30+ years. She began her career as a Lab Tech and Phlebotomist and worked for many years as a medical assistant in cardiology. After moving into billing operations as a Financial Counselor, she became involved in medical coding and worked for a large multi-specialty clinic as a coder for 6 years before sitting for her CPC exam. Regina holds a professional certificate in coding and has been a Certified Professional Coder since March, 2003, and is also certified in ICD-10 CM proficiency. Regina joined Apex Practice Solutions, Inc. in 2010 where she has supported our Apex clients through education on complete, accurate and compliant coding of documented services.
Kristie Taylor has 22+ years of experience in the medical field, starting her healthcare career working in a clinical capacity as Medical Records Clerk, CNA, Medical Assistant and EMT duties. In 2010, Kristie altered her career path by choosing to focus on the billing and collections of rendered healthcare services. As her experience grew, Kristie advanced and served as a Team Lead in a Managed Service Organization billing environment, supporting and leading the billing for several multi-specialty clinics throughout the United States.
Kristie joined Apex Practice Solutions, Inc. in August of 2015, where she serves as Revenue Cycle Supervisor over a team of specialists who resolve Accounts Receivable for multiple clients. Kristie has a broad knowledge of billing rules and policies throughout multiple states, and for a variety of healthcare specialties. Her strengths include the development of strong client relationships, identifying trends that positively or negatively impact the bottom line, and establishing targets or goals to exceed accounts receivable industry standards.
Certified Professional Coder
Angel Callaway has been in the medical field for over 25 years. She began her career as an LVN and worked in that capacity for 23 years before changing her profession to medical billing in 2010. Angel
joined the billing team with Apex Practice Solutions, Inc. in 2013, utilizing her skills in Revenue Cycle Management to support multiple clients and a variety of specialties. She earned her Certified
Professional Coder (CPC) certificate in November of 2014. Angel is
ICD-10 certified and serves as VP of the AAPC Chapter in Corpus
Christi, TX. She also helped establish the AAPC Chapter in Victoria,
TX and currently serves as Secretary for this group.
Angel has a passion for education and works with our clients and
staff to maximize reimbursement through accurate and compliant coding based on documentation of rendered services. Her
combination of skillset in accounts receivable collections and coding certification has proven to be a great value to our Apex teams and
to the clients for whom she provides support.
Director of Human Resources
Linda Martin has 20+ years of experience in the medical field. She started her medical career working as a biller in a Nephrologist office.
In 2005 Linda accepted a position with a large Texas based
Management Service Organization (MSO) where she had direct supervision of 10 Billing Assistants who helped with the billing for
250+ physicians. In 2010 Linda accepted a position with Apex
Practice Solutions as the Human Resources manager. She has the responsibility for the on-boarding of new staff (interviews, background checks, sanction checks). Linda is the Administrator of employee benefits, including the 401-K plan for 190+ staff members. She
spends much of her time educating supervisors and managers in the handling of staff issues.
Robin Barnett is a Credentialing Specialist who partners with providers and hospital groups to perform Provider Enrollment in the chosen payor networks and government entities. Robin came to Apex Practice Solutions, Inc. in 2017 with 7 years of experience in the field of provider credentialing, and is well versed in the following areas:
Medicare and Medicaid Credentialing and Revalidation
Provider Updates and Re-Enrollment
Maintaining and updating CAQH profile
Completion of all necessary credentialing requirements for each payor and follow through to completion
Status Reporting so that our providers and clients know where we are in the process
